The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes | Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
post image
Pickpick

A collection of twelve short stories which first appeared in The Strand Magazine, narrated by Dr Watson. These are the classic stories which depict Sherlock Holmes solving all crimes easily, some without him even being at the scene of the crime yet! Nevertheless they are engaging. I read them on Serial Reader, my recently discovered app.

Bookzombie I love how you did your pic! 7y
CatLass007 I just discovered Serial Reader a couple of days ago! I love it. I started a Sherlock Holmes story, too. I‘ll get to them all eventually, but right now I‘m reading Les Miserables and Anna Karenina, as well. 7y
erzascarletbookgasm @Bookzombie thanks, it was fun playing with Photo Grid 😁 7y

Andrew65 What a great picture! What is serial reader? 7y
erzascarletbookgasm @Andrew65 It‘s an app that sends issues of classic books on a daily basis to be read on the phone. Each issue can be read in a matter of 20 minutes or so. 7y
erzascarletbookgasm @JazzFeathers Agree, I don‘t fancy reading on my phone but since it only requires 20 minutes or less for each issue, it‘s not too bad :) 7y

A Study in Scarlet | Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Pickpick

"There's a scarlet thread of murder running through the colourless skein of life, and our duty is to unravel it, and isolate it, and expose every inch of it."

An excellent introduction to the famous literary detective's sharp mind, peculiar methods and powers of deduction. The sensible Dr. Watson is also introduced in this first book. A tragic tale of love and deadly revenge.
