Pickpick

I‘ve been reading the scrolls for 4 months almost everyday now and it‘s crazy to see how quickly life can start changing when you take control.

To Sell Is Human | Daniel H. Pink

Pickpick

My second Daniel Pink book. I have liked the both. In this one he revisited the accepted ideas about selling and updated them for our current situations. It helped me rethink old ways of thinking and start considering new things. Creative book. Well written and engaging.

How is it I haven‘t read this book - or even heard of it before today!?

Yay for #TBRTarot! Fourth from the left, top shelf of the TBR bookcase. I received this book in a #blitsyswap a couple of years ago and am excited to add it to my March reading plan.

CBee Perfect!! 😊😊 14mo

Just picked this up from the library today. I'm always reading and learning. What better thing to learn than how to improve yourself? If anyone is looking at interviewing or sales, this might be something to pick up. I do hope it's great.

Q84 I did. I was going to post a pic but forgot to before we left the house. I'm looking forward to reading it and I was excited to see I haven't read it before! Thank you! 14mo

I‘ve been a stay at home mom for almost 13 years now and mostly living far away from close family and friends. I find myself feeling overwhelmed and awkward in any kind of social situation (and never mind professional situations). I‘m trying to prepare myself to rejoin the workforce, so this is just part of that. I hope it helps. But I‘ll also be signing up for conferences and toastmasters 😬

SomedayAlmost My husband got a lot out of Toastmasters. Structured speeches help one overcome speaking anxiety… 1y
jen_the_scribe @SomedayAlmost That‘s good to know! So far I‘ve only heard good things. 1y

Could it be true that while you‘re talking about office seating charts your black colleague is summoning her ancestors to manage her rage over your freshest microagression? I am here to tell you “ yes”. So is Askaripour. But even a satirical novel with a message needs to be a successful novel and this one is not. https://www.facebook.com/1082882538/posts/pfbid023MF9Mcpdo1mG3D3X1WWetiNCLfLsFqH...

This book started strong but it felt like it lost some momentum for me as the main character lost his way. At its heart it feels like a cautionary tale about a young man that puts career over family and neighborhood. Then he tries to do every right and things don‘t go well either. Just sad and frustrating, but maybe that‘s the point? 🤷🏻‍♀️

adoramichaels This is good to know. I literally just put this on my wishlist a couple days ago. Thank you! 2y
