Happy October, friends! Here is the #TBRtarot prompt for this month 🎃🍁 Enjoy! *edited to add: it can be a debut author or authors debut work!*

OriginalCyn620 I recently got this one on Audible, and it certainly sounds interesting, so I‘ll make it my pick! 1w

Ruthiella Ooh! That‘s gonna be tough! 🤔😅 1w
AmyG I won‘t make it this month. 😞 1w
CatLass007 Does it have to be a debut author? Or can it be an author‘s debut work? 1w
Read4life That‘s what I was going to ask, @CatLass007 1w
CatLass007 @Read4life Every author was a debut author at one time! 1w
CBee @CatLass007 either is fine! 😊 @Read4life (edited) 1w
CBee @AmyG no worries 💚 1w
CBee @OriginalCyn620 the title alone is interesting 🧐 1w
CatLass007 Awesome! 1w
Meshell1313 Ooh that‘s such a good one! I have a few in mind! 1w
CatLass007 This is free on Audible until 10/07 and it is her debut work. 1w
CBee @CatLass007 sounds good! And perfect for October 😊 1w
CatLass007 We‘ve got to have witches in October. You should know that Griffin writes good witches. 1w
CBee @CatLass007 I agree! I had lots of witches the past few months reading Her Majesty‘s Royal Coven (series of three books). Now I‘m reading a stand alone by the same author 1w
CatLass007 Sounds like fun! 1w
CatLass007 Molly Harper writes fun witches. 1w
Meshell1313 I‘m hoping to read this one this month. Everyone is talking about it and this new author! 6d
CBee @Meshell1313 that is a chunk of a chunkster!! 4d

Interesting listen! Social commentary from the POV of bee Flora 717, a lowly sanitation worker who works her way up and eventually into the Queen‘s inner sanctum, and discovers secrets of the hive.

#tbrtarot - book where an animal is a main character
#bookspinbingo - free space

bookandbedandtea I enjoyed this on! The unusual perspective and setting were refreshing. 2w
TheAromaofBooks I had really mixed feelings about this one. It was a book I wanted to like more than I did lol 2w

Oooooweee I‘m in love with this series. I have a book to read for #TBRtarot, then headed right back into this world with the 3rd (and last 😢) book!

TheBookHippie Pretty pretty cover!!! 1mo
LittlebearReads I was so unbelievably livid about the way HMRC ended that I rage quit the series, but it looks like I may need to return to it! 1mo
CBee @LittlebearReads I feel that! But that cliffhanger - I just can‘t not know! 1mo

CBee @TheBookHippie all the covers are super cool! 1mo
monalyisha I feel the same way. 🖤 I took the Queen Bee detour and am reading (listening to) Human Rites now! 1mo
CBee @monalyisha I must read Queen Bee as well! Do you think it‘s best read before the 3rd book? Or more of a standalone? 1mo
monalyisha @CBee It‘s too early to say! 😅 I was hoping it would enhance my experience of the 3rd book but, so far, I don‘t think I would‘ve missed anything without it. I‘m not very far into the 3rd yet, though. Only time will tell! 1mo
CBee @monalyisha good to know! 1mo
BookBr Ahhhh is the third book out already?! 1mo
BookBr @CBee oh YAY! 😍 1mo

Ruthiella Reuse old prompts is my suggestion. There‘s enough variety in the books themselves! I don‘t know if I will get to it in September but the book I WAS to read for this prompt is 1mo

Finished this month‘s #TBRtarot right in the nick of time. This new Kuang satire? inspired by Dante‘s Inferno focuses on the perils of academia. Two students go into hell to save their professor but must go through every level. I wanted to care more about the characters but it was hard to get into. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was such a beautiful story about the power of blood, the power of women, the power of the natural world. Difficult to read in parts (please note trigger warnings), but in the end, karma won (with plenty of magical help). I loved it! #TBRtarot (book with a green and GORGEOUS cover)

This odd little book didn't entirely gel for me, but it had so many wonderful pieces that I'll call it a pick. There's a very strong sense of place, turns of phrase that made me it feel like the author was inside my brain, and some wonderful joyfulness.
