Carrie, didn‘t you recommend this to me? If not, oops 😂 We chatted about a bunch of books when #ALSpine started and I seem to remember this being one of them. ANYWAY! It was fantastic! If it was you, thanks 😊 @CSeydel #TBRtarot

A review suggests this for those who like “Victorian women protagonists; series long mysteries; family dramas; pastries.“ 😂
I'm really only crazy about the fourth--and still wish Thomas would go back to historical romance!--but enjoyed this anyway. It's super convoluted and I barely understand what happened (might be a me issue) but I'm into the characters, even pathetic, conservative Inspector Treadles, whose wife might (gasp!) run a business!

Set during Thanksgiving weekend, the whole Ryan family comes together for the first time in years. The 3 sisters all have secrets and troubles they‘re dealing with, but the present is plagued by an incident that happened 13 years ago, for the sisters and their parents. The story is told from the POV of each sister. A solid family drama!

Cujo was the last book read in October and here is my October wrap up overall. Cujo definitely unlocked a new fear in me especially with rabies cases on the rise in my county and so many who don‘t follow leash laws. I definitely could have made bingo this month but it was nice to be busy with fun things like a concert and Halloween and meeting new people. Great month! #HauntedShelf #GrimReaders #OneSnacktoRuleThemAll #Chocolotiers #TBRTarot ⬇️

This one should be easy, friends! Have fun! #TBRtarot

My #TBRtarot pick this month was sooo good. A dystopian society separated by class and color and minor imperfections. A secret rebellion, forbidden love - this had it all. It felt like the Giver but worse. 🤣Can‘t believe it‘s her first novel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Vi, a twenty-something who‘s been dumped and lost direction in her life, finds a sentient blob in an alley and takes it home. She then decides to mold it into the perfect man. This was weird and quirky and really boring! Vi is pretty unlikable and very uninteresting. This could have been so much more, so much hilarity could‘ve ensued, but it fell flat for me.
