#TBRtarot this month was a perfect fit to finally start reading TJ Klune. I know I‘m late to the party but this was soooo good! He‘s easily going to be an author who I read all of their books! Such a heartwarming story of magical children in an orphanage and the idea of found families. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I Shall Never Fall in Love | Hari Conner

Attractive, expressive art is the highlight of this Regency romance graphic novel. The characters really come to life and I especially love how George, a trans man, is drawn, always completely himself even when forced to wear a skirt. (There's a wonderful section at the end in which the characters themselves explain the historical basis for the black and queer characters in the story.) cont.

willaful The aspect I least enjoyed were the confused plotlines borrowed from _Emma_. A more consistent retelling or a completely original story would have been better, in my opinion. But I do love the queer joy, the main character's overcoming her snobbishness, and happy endings all around.

CatLass007 Yes, I read the first one and I adored it! I‘ve also read Under the Whispering Door and it‘s marvelous. I am now a huge fan of TJ Klune and intend to actually buy every book that he writes. Or every audiobook I mean. His books are so uplifting and I think they are books that I‘ll want to hear again and again. I haven‘t had this much love for an author in ages. 3w

Final finish for January. Set in Leavenworth WA during winter ski season. It is always feels like being home when I settle into this series. I needed that.

Minor pet peeve rant: Ellie this sentence is so unnecessary. “Little did I know our safe village might not end up being that space.” You write cozy murder mysteries. We KNOW your otherwise idyllic town is Not a safe space. There have been 6 murders to date. 😂
