⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For some reason, I didn‘t know if this book would apply to me. Then I answered “True” to many questions on the self-test and ended up thinking, “Wait, YES!” to quite a few sentiments throughout the whole book (although of course not everything resonated personally). There was a lot of beneficial information to help me better understand and appreciate myself, others, and our culture.

ICantImReading Many sections reminded me of other work that has had a stronger impact on me, like “The Origins of You” by Vienna Pharaon, “Quiet” by Susan Cain, and Myers-Briggs assessments. 8mo

Meh. Don‘t feel like I got much out of this read. My mind kept wandering as I was listening, which is not like me. There‘s a lot of self reflection that‘s better suited to a print or digital copy for easier reference, but aside from feeling like I have a really thorough overview of HSPs in a variety of environments, I haven‘t walked away with any strategies that I feel are really useful to me. Going to try a different audiobook on this topic.

There was a lot of interesting information throughout the book. Some sections seemed to go on longer than I thought was necessary. I definitely think the author has done a lot of good helping people understand the Highly Sensitive trait. I know I am a HSP and I think a few other members of my family are as well. This book gave me a better understanding of who I am.

Just finished this today. It‘s a book I have taken my time reading and I have come away with a lot more knowledge of who I am and why things as they are.

A lovely little bridge in a town called callington. From our drive in Sunday. I can‘t wait till winter when everything becomes green again

Bette This is lovely. 3y
Darklunarose @Bette it really is. I love to find quaint little places. We went to callignton cause the movie “a sunburnt Christmas” was filmed there.... and we wanted to see if we could find where. No luck but lovely town. 3y

I started this one yesterday and I‘m up to chapter two. This book is really speaking to me. I discovered Aaron when I watched the movie sensitive the other week. So many aha moments from it.

LiteraryinLawrence I agree. A lot of this book really resonated with me. 3y
Darklunarose @LiteraryinLititz it really is interesting. The day after I watched the movie hubby watched it. We think out whole house has this trait, which backs th likely hood of genetics. 3y

More books from my mom. I can‘t wait to dive into all of these. It‘s always fun to escape to an imaginary place and just as fun to learn more about oneself.

Have you read any of these? What did you think of them?

Hmm, the first few chapters are really interesting and they do make you look at your shyness/anxious/introverted self in a more positive light. The inner child stuff and some of the spiritual mumbo jumbo made me roll my eyes a bit but on the whole a very helpful book. 👍
