pickI cannot express how exceptional this novel is. As someone that teaches R&J on a yearly basis- THIS IS THE ADAPTATION THAT THE WORLD NEEDED. It is a MUST read. 1920s, Shanghai opposing gangs. In the R&J adaptation, this is more post teen love (19/20 now), full enemies after assumed teenage betrayal. I am already LOVING the sequel. Also, yes, I keep a planner mostly just to past pictures of book covers in. #shakespeareadaptation #teachersoflitsy
