Thursday, @dsfisher and I started at the Freer/Sackler Galleries. As I mentioned earlier, we learned our lesson and had all our book purchases, except the tagged one shipped home. After 4 hours in the African American museum, we walked to the NMNH to see the Sea Monsters exhibit and the rest of the Ocean Hall. I ❤️this museum, now have a new favorite dinosaur (mosasaur), which is technically a giant sea lizard, and learned my lesson about buying books in gift shops. Mom and I were searching for a place that was still open after dinner on Monday and stumbled into a shop called The Little Drummer Boy that specializes in Civil War antiques. I bought the tagged book for Mom as an early birthday present, inscribed by the author sometime between 1889 and 1917.
