Like a lot of Riordan's books, this was very formulaic, repetitive, and too long. It was an underwhelming book for me.
I liked the magic, the different take on divinity and divine children, and the world building.

I thought it would be so cool to stack this on my library ladder but it‘s too busy, I won‘t do this again! #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
I knocked off this trio of crossover stories in the Percy Jackson / Kane Chronicles serieses. How are they Disney related, you ask? Published by Disney-Hyperion!

strong finish. I love the Kane siblings, and all their friends and side characters are so enjoyable. Dramatic ending and journey, didn‘t want to put this book now, I needed to know what was happening next. I hate the way Rick solved the love triangle he created for Sadie but that could just be me. But also she‘s 13, leave her alone. Anyway, beyond that, I really enjoyed this series. Rick, you are (mostly) a mastermind.
things are heating up!!! a couple of teens just brought back a lost god that no one else has ever been able to find. not sure why Ricky is giving a 13 yr old a little love triangle, I wish he wouldn‘t but whatever. will be jumping into the third and final book very quickly.
Expanding my RR universe into his Egyptian based series and I‘m really liking it so far! 2 siblings are surprise! descended from pharaohs and super powerful magicians. and bonus: are now being used as host bodies for ancient gods, so they‘re suuuperrr powerful rn, slayyy. They‘re funny, they‘re scared, they‘re arguing bc siblings. Still second to anything Percy is in BUT better than the Apollo series and learning about Egyptian gods is fun.
Over the last year and a half I‘ve gone through almost all of Rick Riordan‘s books! I didn‘t know if I‘d like the Kane chronicles but I loved them!

1. Depends on the book, really, and how the author manages the whole thing. I do like to write multiple povs in my fanfics so I'll go with that
2. It gives you a chance to get to know the characters better imho
3. I'm tagging The Kane Chronicles #1. The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. This series should get more love
@ozma.of.oz
The two start with very distinct voices which become muddled as the book goes on. Near the end I couldn't tell whose POV it was unless I checked.

This could have been 200 pages shorter and it would have been better.
