I got an email from Whitney and I saw that she posted about the private paid community she made for #theunreadshelfproject. I enjoyed participating in this challenge because of the prompts and guides and the community but I didn‘t have to pay. I‘m not sure if I want to join. There won‘t be new prompts or guides but I miss #theunreadshelfproject community.

#theunreadshelfproject is closing down. This is the Instagram post that Whitney shared today and the comment that I made on the post. My username is kelli_booklover on Instagram. I‘m sad that this is coming to an end but as the saying goes,”All good things come to an end.” I enjoyed being a part of the community. It helped me prioritize my unread books and I will continue to prioritize my unread books when I can.

Here‘s how I did on #theunreadshelfproject this year. There were 2 books I borrowed from the library because I didn‘t have a book to fit the prompts and I bought 2 audiobooks to fit 2 more prompts but other than that, I did really well. I haven‘t done the last 3 prompts and at this point, I‘m not going to stress myself out trying to complete this challenge. Christmas is coming up. Why stress myself out if I don‘t have to?

For #theunreadshelfproject, I read Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever for August‘s prompt Immerse. For September‘s prompt Remember, I have to either read a book that reminds me of someone or read a memoir. The memoir I‘m going to read is Unmasked by Paul Holes. Celadon Books sent me a physical ARC of the book but I never got around to reading it. This book was written by a retired detective who helped find the Golden State Killer.

Today, I‘m sharing what I read for #theunreadshelfproject. I read Justin Bieber: Our World by Millie Rowlands for July‘s prompt Joy. For August‘s prompt Immerse, I‘m going to read Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever by Justin Bieber and immersing myself in his world back when he was just starting his career. It‘s also going to have pictures and I‘m looking forward to reading it.

I‘m sharing my progress for #theunreadshelfproject. For June‘s prompt Explore, I listened to the BBC Radio Plays on Audible for 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea And The Mysterious Island. For July‘s prompt Joy, I‘m supposed to read a book that sparks joy. I have 2 physical books about Justin Bieber on my shelf. I‘m a Justin Bieber fan and it would make me happy to read about him. I‘ll probably read one of those books about him.

For #theunreadshelfproject, I listened to the plays of The Iliad And The Odyssey for May‘s prompt Curious. For June‘s prompt, I‘m supposed to read a book set in a foreign country I want to visit, a book about an explorer or a subject I want to explore. I‘m going to choose the BBC plays on Audible for 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and The Mysterious Island because they seem like explorer type of books.

For April‘s monthly prompt Delight, I decided to read The Boy, The Mole, The Fox And The Horse. I don‘t own it but it was delightful. I borrowed it from Libby. I had a hard time finding books I own that I enjoy. For May‘s prompt Curious, I‘m going to choose the audiobook for the stage production of The Iliad And The Odyssey presented by The Online Stage. I‘m curious about how these books are going to sound as plays.
