I think I liked this one even better than the first book. Fewer characters, more focused. The child Jane who works repairing salvage for robots and the AI formerly known as AI have lives that intertwine. #readyourowndamnbooks #thintheherd

One of my pile up from BOTM picks, this was a lackluster book with parts that never really cohere. The writing sparkles the most when Lasdun describes the meals created by Matthew, but his passion dies when trying to build an argument for obsession or tension. #readyourowndamnbooks #thintheherd #bookofthemonth #botm

ReadingEnvy @britt_brooke I think my original thought was to hang on to my botm titles but I'm realizing I already broke that rule in giving away two books... So this will be one more to trade in or donate. 8y
