The people at little village (Korphe little village in Baltistan, Pakistan) helped him and he stayed with them and taught the children and later helped them build a school! Knowing that some of it was fabricated made this kind of hard to get through. A lot of good did come of Greg's school building efforts and If I were unaware of the drama and confessions by him, I'd likely find it more inspiring. Unfortunately, his fabrications really took away from being moved enough by the story to recommend it. Writing was also so-so. 16 hours into #24in48 - may not finish all 24, but definitely some interesting reading. Listened to all of this audiobook this afternoon. The narcissism and lack of conscience disgusts me beyond belief, but glad I know more about the background of this man. #threecupsofdeceit

In all fairness, I've not read Three Cups Of Tea, so I approached this book with an open mind. You'd enjoy this book better if you read TCOT first as you will have better understanding of the issue.
