pickThis is a gorgeous full color book with photos and artwork depicting the history and natural diversity of the #TurksandCaicos Islands. Having read a lot about the Americas now, other than a long desired vacation to Canada, I‘d make this my second choice based on this book alone. It‘s a children‘s book but is an excellent introduction and education about the islands. And it‘s free with Kindle unlimited. #readingtheAmericas

pickI wasn‘t hugely looking forward to this; it was just to tick a box for #turksandcaicos for #readingtheamericas23. And then, when it arrived, it was the second in a series. 🙄
However, it was really quite good. Jess works for the UK Diplomatic Service (it helps that the author did too, I think) and arrives on the islands to find that the Governor has been in a serious car crash, then there is a murder and no-one is who they seem.
I just finished book 1, Deep Shadow, set in the #DutchAntilles so I thought I‘d see what else he‘s written. Here‘s the #readingtheAmericas countries he‘s covered:

Look at this! A bunch of books about islands for #readingtheamericas that are hard to find! Of course the one I‘m about to start by this author isn‘t in Litsy. I‘ll add it to the database a little later. But I‘ll probably check out at least a couple of the listed books above.
