What a day! Massive haul from Half Price Books (including CDs & DVDs not pictured), and then picked up a few more wishlist DVDs at library's book nook. DH grilled burgers. Then off to see Solo: A Star Wars Story. That's how weekends should be done! [We need to get better at it.] Tagged book is 3rd in a series. Anyone know whether I need to read them in order? Top book is signed (to someone with DH's name—handy!).

PenguinInFlight I think they make more sense if you read them in order. I‘ve read her Temperance Brennan series out of order, and some earlier things are referred to that make more sense if you‘ve read the previous novels. I ended up going back and reading them in order. I read the ones she wrote with her son (the tagged series) in order. While not impossible, I think both series are more coherent when read in order. ☺️ 7y
JoyBlue @PenguinInFlight Thanks—I appreciate that! I‘ve already determined that I can get the first two on Overdrive audio, so I can just save this one. 7y

I really enjoy the audiobook narration for this series. The books are just enough mystery, suspense, paranormal/sci-fi and action blend for my taste. I‘m really interested in getting more into the sci-fi/fantasy genre, but struggled at first. So books like the “Virals” series are great at slowly introducing me.

Book 3 in the Virals Series - it took me a little while to get into this one but once I was in I wanted to read on and on and on to see how this one played out. I particularly enjoyed the code element of this book and having to solve puzzles on a treasure hunt to avoid a 'bomb' going off in Charleston. I really enjoy this series. If you enjoy YA books, give them a try but you do need to start at Book 1 to get the context.

TrishB My daughters been reading this series, I haven't got to as yet! 7y
Lmstraubie Is that an app that tracks your reading? 7y
Andrew65 @TrishB I have read the first three over the past couple of years and have to say I'm enjoying it, more so than her Tempe Brennan books. 7y

Andrew65 @Lmstraubie Yes it is the Bookout App, which I find useful as if I keep it up to date it tells me how much longer it will take me to finish a book, which I find useful for planning my reading. Also useful for pictures for Litsy. http://bookoutapp.com 7y
TrishB More than Tempe 😱 I love Tempe- may have to give them a go! 7y
Andrew65 @TrishB To be fair, only read the first six books and I think the sixth book (that I read last month) was my favourite so hoping more continue in this vein. 7y

Wow! I haven't read a Virals book in a couple of years and ended up really enjoying this one. Sci-fi and mystery are a great combo
My only wish is for more of the core group to have perspectives as well as Tory.
