I‘m traveling for a half-marathon tomorrow, but found the most amazing AirBnb in the area. Named “A Book Lovers Getaway”, it does not disappoint. This is my view from one bed, but there is an entire bedroom of wall to wall bookshelves and books everywhere. Such an incredible find 👌🏼 Can‘t wait to catch up on my #ReadingResolutions and #QuotsyMay18 after my travels 😍📚
#ReadingResolutions • May 17|Wedding • I enjoy the light, fun writing style of Sophie Kinsella. Hoping this book follows her others! It‘s got pretty average reviews, but her books tend to be light enjoyable reads, not 5-Star amazing literature. 👌🏼💙
#QuotsyMay18 • May 17|Hoarding • Tagged my most recent book purchase, despite already having more than my bookshelves can currently hold. Obviously, the solution is more bookshelves, never less books 😉📚
#ReadingResolutions • May 16|Current Book Quote • I really enjoyed this book today, especially the audio narration!
I‘ve finished an audiobook a day so far this week for my first #BoutOfBooks but am definitely behind on posting! I‘ve been working my way through some print books too, but have loved my audiobook selections!
#ReadingResolutions • May 15|Bookish Map •
The Hobbit was one of the first books I read that included a map, and I really wish more books came with maps (even just regular contemporary fiction ones too)! I love the spatial visual they give the story.
#ReadingResolutions • May 14|Fictional Family • The Angel Family is one of the more interesting/disturbing families I‘ve read about recently. More unbelievable secrets continue to be revealed throughout the series as the Angel children learn exactly what their intensely strict, wealthy parents were secretly doing to them prior to their deaths.
#QuotsyMay18 ~ May 14|Awkward ~ I‘ve heard nothing but great things about this middle grade book! Definitely hoping to get to it soon.
I have a rare disease that has progressively affected my bones, joints and more - but not letting it stop me from my love of running is what makes me #uniquelyme. From my first hospitalization to now, books have been my solace. My doctors even recommend books to me, which I think is a form of #truecompassion. Join @JoScho in her #uniquelyyou giveaway and celebrate our #uniquenesses 💙💙
#ReadingResolutions ~ May 13|Mother ~ #QuotsyMay18. I couldn‘t find an exact quote to capture this, but the figures that take over acting as Harry‘s #Mother at various times in this series are who I imagine Harry spending the day with. This series teaches us that we can find family and love in non-relatives, regardless of circumstance ❤️
In love with this beautifully accurate quote on chronic pain 💙 As a young person with physical chronic pain due to many health issues, the term has always felt so much less than the things it describes. Although this book mainly focused on mental health/mental pain, it was great to see physical #chronicpain and #chronicillness featured in YA. 💙
#QuotsyMay18 ~ May 12|Rhythm ~ I don‘t think I‘ve ever found a quote that so perfectly describes the feeling of content I get when traveling, whether by train or plane. There‘s a peace in knowing we can‘t make time go faster and just have to relax on the ride. Heading out for a 9 hour train ride this weekend, and I‘m looking forward to it!
#QuotsyMay18 • May 11|Twilight • Found this adaption of Teddy Roosevelt‘s “Man in the Arena” speech, which is my absolute favorite thanks to discovering it in my favorite Brené Brown book, Rising Strong. ???
#ReadingResolutions • May 11|Fiction • Stumbled upon this gem when searching for a book to fit a Goodreads Challenges (not a lot of books have “U” as title or author!). It was an incredible audiobook and an interesting story with things not as perfect as they first appear.
#ReadingResolutions • May 10|Thriller • Not sure I have a favorite thriller author, but Heather Gudenkauf‘s books always keep me guessing and turning the pages quickly.
#QuotsyMay18 • May 10|Butterfly • I‘ve been reading bits of pieces of this book I received as a gift for a while now, but it‘s a very interesting non-fiction read!
#ReadingResolutions • May 9|Wishful • I work and volunteer with a lot of kids who have been enjoying this series. Hoping to get around to reading it soon! I love connecting with kids through common books 💙📚
#QuotsyMay18 • May 9|Orphan • I‘m all for optimism, but I believe that it sometimes looks like bracing for the worst and celebrating any outcome above it.
Bonus midday reading time in waiting rooms is probably the best perk of having many medical appointments 🤓📚 #alwaysreading
#ReadingResolutions • May 8|Travel • This author‘s journey of traveling the world by bicycle was fascinating! He met many interesting people and had interesting tales from around the world.

#QuotsyMay18 • May 8|Everything • I loved the Beginning of Everything. Schneider really nails the mental side of life changing injury, especially in a young athlete.
Wow, did I enjoy this book! Reminded me of Ready Player One, which I also loved and had been looking for a similar book ever since first reading it. I found the characters diverse and interesting, while the books sets itself up well for a sequel and future character builds. Also a fan because Asher uses a wheelchair, but is not a source of “inspiration” or tragedy, it‘s just a part of him and not central to his being. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Finished up the latest Flavia de Luce novel this evening! I really enjoy the characters in this series, but each book lags a bit in solving the mystery. Despite the so-so/average rating of most Flavia books, I‘ve always been drawn to continue the series. Overall an enjoyable, clever plot with early chemistry forensics from a precocious young girl who‘s quickly growing up and understanding the world.
#QuotsyMay18 • May 7|Need •
#ReadingResolutions • May 7|Memior •
I really enjoy female athlete memoirs and this one did not disappoint. It‘s got some great bits of wisdom, while also maintaining Abby‘s tough personality throughout. 👌🏼💪🏼
#QuotsyMay18 • May 6|Glass • Today is also #WishboneDay celebrating Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease), so #Glass is a fitting theme for a quote from a great novel about a child with OI. Children with OI are often called “children of glass” because their bones can break with the smallest of contact.
#ReadingResolutions • May 6|Suspense Sunday • My two most recent suspense/thriller novels. I usually read this genre more often, but had to dig back to the winter months to find my last suspense read 😧
#QuotsyMay18 • May 5|Comic • Great quote from an awesome book about comic book writers, comic cons, actors and the meaning behind the superheroes.
#ReadingResolutions • May 5|Five Stack • Learned I need to add a green softcover book to my collection! All are books I‘ve enjoyed greatly, but also my favorite type of softcover (the soft matte kind 😍) #SoftcoverLover #FiveStack
#ReadingResolutions • May 4|Cool Cover • This book is another top favorite, but it‘s even cooler because it glows in the dark! So fun to see it on my bookshelf at night. Plus my best friend picked this out for me, before I even heard of it, so it holds a special place in my heart. Book gifts that introduce me to a favorite book are treasured always. 💙
#QuotsyMay18 • May 4| Galaxy 🌌 • While some look to the stars above for guidance, we certainly have all we need inside of us.
#ReadingResolutions • Day 3|Memory • The premise of this book was good, but it read fairly slow and didn‘t bring me into the story. I read it a few years ago and the plot details have not stuck with me since. 🤷🏼♀️📚
#QuotstyMay18 • May 3|Yesterday • I love this perspective on what we take away from all of our yesterdays.
#ReadingResolutions •May 2|Creepy Characters• Regardless of my thoughts on this book, Amy Dunne was definitely one of the most twisted characters I had read in a long time 😱🙅🏼♀️
#QuotsyMay18 •May 2|Comfort• One of my absolute favorite books talking about the comfort we all find between the pages.
Joining in for #QuotsyMay18! Day 1: Purpose.
This quote made me think of “Purpose” because it reminds you to take action to achieve your goals or purposes in life. I love writing and living on the page, but actions are vital.
I really enjoy the audiobook narration for this series. The books are just enough mystery, suspense, paranormal/sci-fi and action blend for my taste. I‘m really interested in getting more into the sci-fi/fantasy genre, but struggled at first. So books like the “Virals” series are great at slowly introducing me.
My first DNF in a while. Heard this book is beautiful, but I was just moving too slowly through it to continue. Kind of freeing to let it go though 📚.
Read this yesterday during the #readathon and treating myself to the movie today. Really enjoyed this book as my first Agatha Christie novel, and can‘t wait to read more! I didn‘t see the end coming, but it built well.
Repping one of my favorite sock pairs today, second only to my banned books pair!#AdultInTraining 📚😍. Chronic Illness doesn‘t disappear on #Readathon day (although it‘d be sweet if it could!), but my new Quell unit is keeping my nervous system calm and happy today, so that‘s a Readathon win! 🙌🏼. What‘s your favorite book related clothing?!
Heading into hour 12 of the #Readathon!
Mid-Event Survey
1. Reading Murder on the Orient Express currently and loving it!
2. Completed 2 books and started 3 others
3. Looking forward to finishing an audiobook and more social media interactions
4. Interruptions by family and once for errands, I just roll with it
5. I‘m surprised about how quickly the time passes during the day!
Kicking off my first #readathon with my favorite childhood book! This gem was the first book I read featuring a young character with a chronic illness (juvenile arthritis) and made me feel less alone after my own diagnosis. Amazing what the right book can do! Intro:
1. Reading from Minnesota, US!
2. Looking forward to “Call Me By Your Name”
3. Any snack is good with me!
4. Fun fact: my readathon doubles as a fundraiser for MDA!
Got to read outside without freezing for the first time this year! 💙 Finished up “Last Seen” and was very surprised by the ending! The mystery/thriller took many twists and turns, making it very unpredictable. The ending wrapped up a little too quickly for the length of the book, but I was engaged with the plot the entire book regardless!
Overall, I really do love Flavia de Luce. However, each book goes on a few seemingly unimportant tangents or side plots that don‘t totally relate, or take too long to connect to the mystery being solved. Book #8 was no different in that aspect, but seeing Flavia continue to grow and learn about her community through the lens of solving a murder kept me entertained. Plus, the ending just broke my heart.
