Tomorrow the nasty, old carpet will be replaced. The bookshelf will go back to it‘s proper place. And I get to unbox my books! Is it weird that I feel some pressure about how to organize and design the shelves?

BarbaraTheBibliophage @CouronneDhiver New carpet. We debated hardwood but it‘s too noisy. We both wear hearing aids, which makes odd noises like footfalls seem extra loud. 6y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @CouronneDhiver It is. We also unintentionally ended up with better carpet than we planned. The carpet people LOST our original choice. So they paid for a better grade that we could also have installed on schedule. Win/win. 6y
LibrarianRyan Here‘s the thing. No matter how much you think you have the perfect shelf plan you‘ll want to redo it later. So have fun. Or just do something crazy. As long as you don‘t shelve them spines inside. Then we might all worry about you. 6y

kspenmoll No! I plan to get a couple of new bookcases from Ikea & I am sure I will move things all over...I have to actually see things in place, cannot visualize the big picture. 6y
