I am voting today for my Grams; today at 73 she suffers from the effects of Dementia. She is also a life long Democrat. And voted for Hillary in the 2008 Primary. I know she'll be very excited to know Hillary won. (also Clinton is the only candidate to come up with a plan to support and fund Alzheimer's research) #weforshe #imwithher

LauraBeth Here's to all our grams ? I was spending a lot of time with my nana before the 1980 election (right before she died). She was a scrappy southern woman living in rural Georgia. She got up every morning, fed the chickens, read her Bible, listened to Elvis and waited for her husband to come home faithfully at lunch time every day to eat with her. In the midst of all that she told me "never trust that Reagan. Or any other Republican..." ? 7y
lynneamch Loving this thread of honoring our grams. Mine was a scrappy northern woman, originally from Cornwall, England, born in 1890. What changes she saw in the US. What changes we hope to see. It still takes a village. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Wonderful thread! 👍 My Grandmother is 92, I visited her this morning and told her I was going to vote....she reminded me she doesn't do that (she hasn't in years, she couldn't even if she wanted to her mind is so bad)...but she told me she'd vote for me if I was running. Which is a huge compliment if you know that she often doesn't remember if I am her granddaughter or just her nice neighbor lady. Cheers to the Grandmothers! 7y
