Thank you for tagging me @Catsandbooks !

I share an office with a complainer: she complains when she gets phone calls, she complains when she gets emails. She gets mad if she‘s not included in a meeting, but when she is she says she doesn‘t have time for it. It‘s exhausting. Now, I‘m not exactly Mary Sunshine, but being around that negativity has really shown me who I DON‘T want to be. And for that I‘m grateful.

This book has so many fascinating titbits! I feel like like I want to incorporate elements of these ‘surplus women‘s‘ stories into characters in SO many stories...
Maybe some #ValentinesDay #flashfiction is in order??

Pickpick

Tipping matters in America. A discussion on Twitter about tipping reminded me of this clear & important read. 4.5 stars. (Slow service is often due to under-staffing or the kitchen‘s fault. Waitstaff in US are more likely to be women. Who scrape by on less than minimum wage plus tips. Slow service stinks, especially when your kids are hungry, but I always try to leave something.)
