I bought this to go with our summer Big Book Club reading of Moby Dick, and because it it just so darn charming.

So far, she's taking on dishonest doctors and NJ politics, and of course, condescending men, and I'm only 60 pages in.

Just finished “A Bad Deal for the Whole Galaxy,“ vol. 2 in The Salvagers series by Alex White.
If you love Star Wars, Firefly, and space operas with underdog heroes that combine hard science with magic (and I really, really do) then this series is for you.

I clearly don't know enough Indian history and culture.
Reading about early 20th century women tackling sexism is always stressful (reading about any woman tackling sexism is stressful).

I'm very much enjoying the pacing of this book, and the glimpses into the people around Padme and the work that shapes her, but it's these little Star Wars moments that I love the best. R2D2 as over enthusiastic baby sitter...
