This was not my favorite, but it may be for someone. This is based on a romance set at the end of the Civil War.

This is a cute book. Great one day read, it just flies by and you don‘t realize you are done.

This book is about two friends in a nursing home. They have their schedules and everything is good. Until.....

One day this young girl bursts in the window with claims she is Carl‘s long lost granddaughter. Duffy isn‘t so sure about this girl. She needs a place to stay, so she winds up staying in the assisted living.

The last 100 pages kind of we off the rails. There were parts that had little explanation, so I would flip a page back to see if I missed something. The whole character Elizabeth Monner could have been left out completely.

The book would have taken on so much more if it would have stuck to the older sister trying to protect the younger sister. Instead we get a psychological mess at the end that wasn‘t really set up well.

This book was good and could have been great, but there were some missteps. I liked the story of a town, families or the past wanting justice for wrongs. That I could get behind. I think the whole tunneling vindictive, but not aggressive ghosts was too much. They have been hard a work for centuries digging under the mountain to get justice. Hmmmmm.

Leave that out and rework a little bit and it would have been great.

So good. I just loved this book to finish up the Handmaids Tale. It was a great story. Now I want more.... I would love to know how the Commander went down, how Aunt Lydia fared and how Gilead progressed and fell.

I really liked this one. Jojo Moyes knows how to write such detail with great characters and a hint of a love story with a happy ending. Great read.

This was so good. Finished it in a day. It was so creepy and weird, but so good. Lisa Jewel writes gold in this one. So worth it. Perfect for a winter day, wrapped in a blanket and no where to go, but read.

This book was down right boring and depressing. Got close to a DNF.

I received this through Goodreads. Independently written. This is a story of a young man that survives a horrific natural disaster that kills his family. He was trapped in rumble for a number of days, then is rescued. It is an incredible story of survival.

I received this from Goodreads. I was surprised at how good this independent book was. It was well written about a group that is trying to create world dominance through science.
