Devoured in one sitting. Twists and turns keep you hooked. When idealistic sisters, Cassandra and Janie, bring Shay Miller, a lonely and detail oriented woman who recently witnessed the suicide of the sisters friend amanda, shay feels a sense of belonging and companionship she‘s longed for. Little does she know how havoc is about to wreck her life thanks to these sisters. What do they have to do with Amanda‘s suicide?

Shay Miller's life takes a complete turn when a young woman leaps in front of a train and the Moore sisters enter her life. Are these events related? Is everything actually how it seems?
The book overall is decently paced, keeps you hooked but actually gets unrealistic at some points. It had good twists and turns but I kinda expected all of them in advance. I feel there was a lot of potential wasted.
3.5/5🌟

#litsylove @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Read4life @TieDyeDude I got the package today!! You guys are awesome!! 😊🫶🏽🩷😎😉 I know I posted it twice but I posted the version with no cover before sorry.

This was my first read of these authors together and I have to say that I quite enjoyed it! A little twisted, but engrossing. I‘ll have to make sure to read their other books as well.

This is strike three for me and this author pairing. I didn‘t like another of their titles and apparently read another one in 2019 and literally don‘t remember a single thing about it. I could not understand the motives of anyone in this book. It was just completely implausible and non-sensical. Shay was also pretty dense for someone with an “analytical mind.” Anyone can write statistics down in a notebook. That doesn‘t make them smart. 😂 2⭐️

Not my favorite of theirs but def a page turner.
#lmpbc maybe you‘ll have less questions than I did 😂

This book was a 5 star for me. It was so good I just wanted to keep reading it. It did seem a little unrealistic but at the same it pulled me in and kept me interested. It had a good twist at the end. It was a little surprising but also kind of obvious. But overall a really good book.

I‘ve been on a Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen kick and am loving their thrillers. I was enthralled waiting to find out the secrets of the Moore sisters while also questioning Shay‘s terrible choices. This one kept me guessing even though it seemed straightforward at first. Despite it being very unrealistic, I didn‘t want to stop reading!

So good! A quick read with some good twists. I really like this writing duo…they are officially an auto buy for me!

I didn't finish a single book this month. But I got close to the end of the tagged book. I'll try again for the June #bookspinbingo

I needed a quick thriller to break my slump and this did the trick. I actually preferred the first third because I loved the premise of seeing how someone‘s innocuous actions could be interpreted as sinister. Overall a solid enjoyable read.

I think I have to stop listening these through audio book, I don‘t think I enjoy it as much as a physical book. So I can‘t give a genuine opinion, probably great but the audio left me feeling blah about it

Adding a 5th for may because I didn‘t start “our house” last month and it‘s what I put forward to my book club so I DO have to read it 👽

Shay exemplifies #timorous!! But are the mysterious sisters Cassandra and Jane the right people to help her become a confident WOMAN??

So. Good. I love this writing duo! Loved the writing, the pacing, plot, characters, twists❣️❣️ With this book, I‘ve completed another bingo board.

12/9/2020 Another twisty novel of suspense by this dynamic writing duo. Although a bit far fetched, it was a divine adventure to read this book. I had not clue what was going on or what was going to happen next and I enjoyed every twist and turn.

Just finished the tagged book this evening with a cuppa tea in my new mug. I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, fun read that keep me hooked.

I really enjoyed this one and I felt for Shay. While we knew who the “bad guys” or shall I say girls are, the suspense still builds throughout and makes you wonder what‘s going to happen next. I liked the statistical information provided at the beginning of Shay‘s chapters. This made for a good listen. I‘ll continue to listen to/read books by the authors.

I really, REALLY wanted to love this one! I am a super fan of Sarah Pekkanen‘s solo women‘s fiction but have just not loved her thrillers as much. I‘m not sure if it‘s something to do with the collaboration or the genre or what but I‘m just not loving it. It‘s not bad, mind you, just not particularly captivating or hard to figure out. I just didn‘t care about any of the characters. 🌟🌟🌟

A fast paced and twisty thriller that will take you on a roller coaster ride you soon won‘t forget!

In order to enjoy this book, I think you must assume that every character in it is extremely naive and gullible. I just found it hard to believe that so many people could be manipulated without someone saying "hey, wait a minute". The writing also felt a bit cheesy - and despite the authors' focus on Shay's obsession with "data" they use the wrong tense when dicussing it - data is plural, not singular!
Ready for the next one on my TBR.

A face paced psychological thriller, really enjoyed this was an unexpected ending aswell.
#Murder2020 (book 89)

While this was a quick read, it was more of a miss than a hit for me. I figured out the plot and the twist way before it happened. The ending was too cleaned up to be enjoyable. While it was an interesting story line, it ultimately fell flat for me.
I liked the concept of this, but the end sort of ruined it. The ending was really tidy and the twist was unsatisfying. No big “OMG!” moments. It felt a little too unrealistic to really captivate me, unfortunately. #netgalley ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Since "The Wife Between Us", Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen books are insta-buys for me. This one was good, but not as engrossing as the last two. Three and a half stars. #goodnotgreat

Enjoyable fast paced thriller!
Shay is feeling what most of us have experienced one time or another-alone. She lost her job, her roommate is moving in with his girlfriend, leaving Shay to find a new place to live, and she just witnessed a young woman commit suicide.
When she finally meets sisters Cassandra and Jane, Shay thinks her bad luck is finally turning around. But are these sisters really helping Shay out of the goodness of their hearts?

This was bananas! It wasnt the best book, but it kept me reading. Last book I'll finish this month for #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks

I'll do a proper post for this book later but just wanted to pop back in here and try this app again.

My boyfriend is finishing up this book, then it‘s my turn! We had a relaxing afternoon reading in our hammocks

Many people know that I love to read including some regulars at the winery, so yesterday I was gifted these 2 books just because she thought I would like them!! 💖🤓

Entertaining enough but also not anything profound or particularly new
This book had me hooked the entire time. I could not put it down!

⭐️⭐️ Underwhelming is the best word to describe this book. Although, I am a fan of the ladies other two books, this one just didn‘t do it for me. It was boring, fell flat, the twists weren‘t twists, but just tie-ins to a mish-mash of characters that were too difficult to follow. I can‘t think of one good chapter that I read, and the only thing not making this a one star is the fact that it was at least well-written 👎

Halfway through this book and I am 😴😴😴😴 Normally a fan of their books, but this one is not doing it for me. I won‘t quit Bc they are known for their twists, and I hope it picks up at part 2! Anyone else feel the same?
