There were good parts and bad parts. Strong beginning but I did not like what the plot developed into.

A sweet LGBT fantasy romance with magic and politics

I liked the uniqueness of the story...the "fun home" and the interesting family relationships. This chain of events is fascinating to observe. However I was a bit overwhelmed by the constant literary comparisons, and a bit underwhelmed by the protagonist.

My first time reading this classic! It's interesting for sure, but I liked it!

Loved the first half, but struggled with the second half. I loved the Alice and wonderland/night circus themes, but in the end it just got so unnecessarily complicated and drawn out that I lost interest.
