Such a fun read, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I watched the movie years ago (and loved it) so it was totally ok for me that there were a lot of differences between the book and the movie. It allowed me to not compare too much. The movie is awesome but the book is a good read too 😊

I was thrilled to spot this book in my local library as it's been on my TBR list for a while. I loved Allende's Eva Luna and this book came highly recommended from a few friends.

It wasn't love for me, however, and I had to push myself to finish it. I found the beginning a bit slow, and found myself waiting for it to pick up and get a bit more exciting but it never really did.
