Good fun, informative, and handy for all things Anabaptist or Mennonite. It is one of those books I dip into from time to time rather than a "read right through" type of book. It combines both light hearted and more serious aspects of Mennonite life. I actually learned a lot about Mennonite faith and indeed the Christian faith as a whole from this little book. #faith

It is great for getting an idea of what Mennonite's believe. I share so much in common it has been a real blessing to be able to read this book. I particularly appreciate the non-violent ethic, the desire to be peacemakers and the desire for community. That and many other distinctives make the people known as mennonite stand out from the world like a beautiful light illuminating God's love. #peace

A very interesting and in depth book that makes clear that non-violence is actually the norm and indeed the best method of protest and progress. The only down fall I could see is that he suggested that Jesus was not divine, which as a Christian I beg to disagree with. None the less this deep and powerful history book sends a powerful punch at the war machines of past, present and future. #peace

What now does the divine immanence mean in direct Christian experience? It means simply that God is here. Wherever we are, God is here. There is no place, there can be no place, where He is not. Ten million intelligences standing at as many points in space and separated by incomprehensible distances can each one say with equal truth, God is here. No point is nearer to God than any other point... #faith
