Dipping a toe into Lovecraft adjacent material.

Do you ever get the feeling that your favorite character is going to get killed off in the next book or so? Yeah....

I loved the first one and was dying for this book to come out. But once it finally did I couldn't get in the mood for a fantasy (my fault, not the book's)! Trapped in a sneaky, historic/mystery/romance death spiral. Send help.
