pickBritish English is hard for an American. Cop jargon is hard for a civilian. British cop jargon is very hard for an American civilian. An incredible story told in a unique way, each character is truly more than meets the eye. An absolute Thriller that kept me reading after dinner until it was done.
pickIt doesn't get better - it's too hard to achieve. However, Rothfuss absolutely stays on par with The Wise Man's Fear. Reading this novel is effortless. In picking up where he left off at the University, Kvothe manages to fit enough adventures for two novels in the thousand-plus pages.
I got to meet Christopher Paolini at the B&N event today! Here I am beyond excited, and totally fangirling! These are the books and his is the story that inspired me to pen the stories held in my imagination.
pickStepping into the character of Kvothe seems effortless for Rothfuss as he spins the 'real' tale of the man who is the legend. Very rarely did I find myself unable to fall, hypnotized, under the storyteller's spell and become enraptured in the world he spins so delicately from his words. Read this.
Definitely seeing where the fuss is coming from about this book; though it's not the Tolkien-buster that I've heard it fabled to be, I'm absolutely enthused about the premise!
Hoping this will get me through a day with perpetually angry toddler. So far, so good! Even had story time!
