I absolutely adored this book when I read it twenty years ago. I picked up a used copy and decided to read it again to see how it holds up. 100 pages in and so far, so good!

This lovely book came out today. If you like stories with humor, poignancy, a little romance, and characters you care about, you should pick it up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time reading this author who writes about locations near where I live. I am thoroughly enjoying it so far and it would only be better if I were reading it on a beach! Bonus points: the main character is a librarian who owns a bookstore.

ferskner What?!?!?!? Was she named Halle?? 8y
Halle770 @ferskner If only!! 8y
Jess_Read_This I love Karen White!! Check out her Tradd Street series. I really enjoyed those and they are set in Charleston. 8y
Halle770 @Jess_Read_This thanks! My library has those for free on audio through Hoopla. I think I will try those next! 8y

Giving this series a second shot after not loving the first one. So far, I'm really enjoying it and it is a great read while I sit on the couch under a blanket, nursing a miserable cold.

ferskner Yay! I'm glad you have them a second chance. She does atmosphere so well! 8y

I started this audiobook yesterday and have already listened to more than half. It is so tense and compelling - a great listen 👍🏻

This book flew totally under the radar for me when it came out, but I'm so glad it came to my attention now. I absolutely adored this YA book about grief, loss and first love. ❤

AliBG I liked this book, but at the same time felt like it was kind of a straight kid's 8y
AliBG (Which I know is a weird thing to say because it's different, but the trope is so similar that it was hard to shake) 8y
Halle770 @AliBG oh yeah, I can totally see that. 8y
MrBook I like this cover 😊👍🏻. 8y

I raced through this one and it was even better than the first. So many twists and turns. And that ending!

It took me almost half of this book to really get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down! I have the next one checked out from the library and ready to go.

AliBG Warning: the next one is way better BUT changes everything you think you know about Feyre... 8y
AliBG ...and will have you shipping a totally different OTP! 8y
Halle770 Ohhhhh, I can't wait!! Is it Rhys? Because I was kind of shipping them in the first book. :) 8y

Finishing this one up today. I've had it on my shelf for ages and was finally motivated to pick it up for the #readharder challenge. I am surprised by how much I've enjoyed it. I recommend it even if you (like me) care nothing about baseball!

This is definitely not my usual type of read, but a co-worker said it is her favorite series ever, so I decided to give it a shot. It felt like it was setting things up for future installments more than it was a complete story in itself, but nevertheless has me intrigued and eager to try the second.

ferskner Where is it set? Looks spooky! 8y
Halle770 Ireland. You'd love it! Lol 8y

This book is so good! I wanted to extend my lunch break by a few hours so I could keep reading after I got to the big twist that I did NOT see coming.

I know this won the Pulitzer, but I am 120 pages in and am not captivated by it. Do I bail or forge on? 🤔

Cathi.Field Novel Evenings recently read it, and while I think it's an interesting viewpoint, I can't say the plot ever really captivated me. 8y
Halle770 Thanks! After several days of bypassing it in favor of reading other books I decided to return it to the library. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday? 8y
