"That was not sleeping. That was not sleeping."
Despite this hook as the protagonist reels from the death of his a Grandfather, this book was not for me. Check out karenmartinreads.blogspot.com #litsy gets a mention!

Promising idea, descended to farce, barely funny and ludicrous ending.
I'm baffled by the success of these books!
Compelling read. Adichie has a command of language that evokes compassion, intelligence, integrity and understanding.

Too contrived...McEwan trying too hard here....
Trees are great says Matt Haig when he recounts some of the things that help him when depression threatens to engulf him. I hope he is appreciative that I balanced this book in our eucalyptus tree on a breezy day!
This book is honest, helpful and positive. A must-read for a must-do generation.

Reading at the moment as it's on the new OCR Lang/Lit syllabus. Darkly humorous and searingly honest.
