Finished this over the weekend. Haven't read John Grisham in months.
Some Saturday reading. #sunnywintersday
This book was such a disappointment. I did a review in it on my Instagram page if you want to take a look. @readingglasses2415

I'm a bit torn. This book started to drag a liitle three quarters thru it. But in saying that, it was amazingly funny 🤣. So because of its witt and humor I'm going with a yes pick me
#winterishere.... In South Africa that is. Cape Town is cold and wet #brrrrrrr. What is your essentials for winter when it comes to reading? I need:
1. A good book, any recommendations for a winter read?
2. A snuggly blanket
3. A good wine. I love a good pinotage.
4. A bookmark. For bathroom breaks

It started off good and just went downhill for me. I actually felt a connection with Liz (besides our names) her inner struggles. I loved her Italy stint and then it just read more and more like a self help memoir.... Which it kind of is I guess. A so-so pick for me.
I tagged the book #girlwiththepearlearring because it's the book that made me fall in love with Amsterdam, Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt. I was just 15 at the time. 💕 This picture taken in June 2019, 20 years later I finally visited Amsterdam 😍. Most importantly #CuypersLibrary in the #rijksmuseum. That's me👆looking around in wonder. Best experience ever.
Reading this book is an experience. Getting to know the Afghanistan prior to 9/11 is such an awakening. The perspective the writer offered was beautifully done. Amir journey from Afghanistan to Pakistan to America and then back held much strife and emotion. But the childhood of Amir and Hassan is what drew me and kept me wanting more. #thekiterunner @khosseini
I salute all fathers trying to provide for their families. We appreciate what you do for us.
Great Read. Office politics, office romances, sexism, favoritism... It's got it all. I had a kinship with the protagonist Jane as I myself struggled with proving myself in a male dominated industry. Overall it's a light ish read but with heavy conversations I personally found myself getting very angry at what Jane faced and decisions she made. I enjoyed it and it's a book every young professional women should read.
