I love Ann Patchett but this comment about receiving an ARC for her to review doesn‘t sit well with me! “Instead of throwing the book on the towering pile of books I‘ll never get to, I decided to walk it straight to the bin.” That‘s pretty shitty!!! Why toss away an ARC??? It‘s rude, especially since she‘s a novelist herself. 🥺😫😳PS: she ends up reading the first page and is instantly hooked - she LOVES the book Sorrow & Bliss.

Cinfhen Listen, I understand she is sent hundreds of ARCs to read and review and obviously she can‘t read them all but at the very least gift them to your bookseller staff or offer them to your customers. Put them in a box and bring them to a FLL but to trash them???
