Today I did one of my Hunger Games re-readings, and today I also realised that the Capitol portrays our world. We are the Capitol. We are those self-centred, brightly coloured, over-excited beings that chatter incessantly to Katniss. Yet I despise the Capitol, and I don't despise this world. I don't hate that people complain about the shortage of prawns for their party in the real world, but in Suzanne Collins' fantasy future, I do. It's strange.

Every once and a while, I see this series sitting there on my shelf, and say to myself 'It's about time you re-read them."
I have now re-read them over 7 times.

Minny's attitude in this book is priceless.

"What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"
"You ask a glass of water."
Arthur thought about this.
"Ford," He said.
"Yeah?"
"What's this fish doing in my ear?"
