I just finished this book less than 24 hours after starting it. What a beautiful, saddening tale. The book was written like a poem and the words flowed into your mind creating the very place you were reading about. You could almost feel, taste, smell, hear everything described. A tale of perseverance, tragedy, love, nature. Woven together to wind its way into your soul. You will have a book hangover after reading this.

Desert Heat | J. A. Jance

cop lies dying beneath the blistering Arizona sun—a local lawman who may well have become the next sheriff of Cochise County. The police brass claim that Andy Brady was dirty, and that his shooting was a suicide attempt...

JA. Jance books do not disappoint. They are a mix of comedy, humor, intense situations sprinkled with sarcasm. This is the first book of her long series and very much worth the read. Always leaving you guessing until the end.

Iceberg | Clive Cussler

I adore Clive Cussler. All his books are filled with adventure, high stakes, intrigue, mystery and of course tall, handsome guys. ;) This is no different as it follows Dirk Pitt, an airforce pilot and NUMA operative. Finding himself in some precarious situations, but also showing astounding resolve. This book is filled with international debauchery and intrigue. A masterful plan is brought crumbling down.

The Historian | Elizabeth Kostova

I absolutely loved this book. Filled with intrigue and mystery, exploration, history and tragedy. Suspenseful and 3 stories from 3 different time periods all intermingle. It will leave you feeling spooked, especially if reading at night. As The Historian takes you thru the times of Vlad the Impaler to near present day and back again, you will also begin to wonder...is it possible?

Glaeken I have this in my TBR 😍❤️ 5y

This book brought me to tears, made me gasp, laugh, and shout in excitement. Beautifully written, the stories all intermingled with one another. Rich with historical facts that leave you in shock and horror. Following women of all different walks of life thru the trials and tribulations during Hitlers reign, this will leave you wanting more. Love, loss, friendship, courage, acceptance.

Absolutely loved the intermingling of humor, love, tragedy, and resolve. Historically accurate with suspense sprinkled in. Following a journalist in occupied England, she travels to Guersney Island where the residents leave her feeling loved, welcome, spurned and hated. The unraveling of the stories of the residents, along with the obvious heartache leaves you feeling as though you yourself have been transported back to that time.
