I really loved being able to enjoy the story of Frankenstein in a different way while also seeing some amazing artwork. It was a treat to read a collaboration of two favourites of mine. I would highly recommend to any horror lovers or fans of either/both Junji Ito and Mary Shelley.

The Oshikiri story cycle afterwards is also so creepy and a great read! Junji Ito at his best.

It is a story of true love, but also has many important themes in the background including politics, grief, family, culture, class, traditions, mental health, forgiveness, acceptance and regret.

Overall a bittersweet story, that was really well written and I can see me picking up more books by this author.

It's an emotional read which will warm your heart, break it and also make you laugh. It's definitely more focused on the characters and their stories rather than the time travelling, which I enjoyed.

Like my previous read, I would have enjoyed this book more if it had been more in depth, but this is always a risk you take with shorter books. As it was I think the author did a really good job and I think many readers would appreciate this book.

This is a sweet little book that can easily be read in one sitting. It really makes you question what's important to you, what you've done with your life and the relationships you have or don't have. I honestly just could not put it down.

I think most people will laugh and cry while reading this book. It packs a huge punch of emotions, but overall you come away feeling uplifted.

The book is repetitive, the timeline was all over the place and didn't flow very well and there are an annoying amount of typos. I'm also not sure how helpful people with alcohol and drug dependence would find this book. Maybe some would appreciate the amount Matthew Perry does share and feel less alone.

There are a few stories about the TV show Friends and other interesting tidbits that save the book, but otherwise it was not that great.

I think the author has done a really good job in putting all this information into one book, as I feel like I've read a lot of this before, but in different books. It's so useful to have it all together in one book. It doesn't delve too deeply, but there is enough information to be useful.

Personally, I think it's a book I will go back to again and again for reference, as the many page tabs I have used would testify.

How stunning is this book?? 😍😍

This book will not be for everyone, but if you are willing to give it a chance I definitely think it is worth a read. There is a lot to take away from it and I think it's a book that keeps you thinking long after you have finished it. Although it's not necessarily all for good reasons.

Kazu's story is a sad one, but it is beautifully told. It can be disjointed sometimes and not 100% clear, but I still enjoyed the book overall.

This is a quick and easy read that can be finished in one sitting in less than an hour. I'm not someone that is very familiar with erasure poetry, but I truly appreciated this collection and how accessible it is. It was a real pleasure to see so many negative messages turned into something beautiful by selecting certain words from the original message. I know I will be recommending it to friends and family in the future.

Win Lose Kill Die is a fast paced YA thriller that had me mentally accusing everyone at some point or another. I found myself rooting for the five main characters while also being suspicious of them.

The setting of this book is fantastic with it's secret society, scandalous history and even a creepy care taker.

It is an enjoyable and quick read with a 90s horror movie vibe.

This is such a sweet book. I loved it, it had me smiling all the way through. It's so cute! It's a fast paced, easy read with virtually no cringy parts and it was a joy to read in all honesty. A great book about falling in love, friendship, family and music.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought it was beautifully written. I think most people would enjoy it, knowing it's a simple love story. A great book to jump into after a heavier read.

This is a dual perspective thriller with thoughts of the killer scattered throughout the book.

None of the characters are necessarily that likeable or trustworthy and this has you questioning everything and everyone. However, the writing and pacing kept me reading and of course wanting to find out who the murderer was, sadly I guessed pretty early on who it was.

If you like thrillers with unreliable narrators this might be the book for you.

A fantastic continuation to The City of Brass. I loved this book even more than the first. I was surprised to find that five years had passed since the events of the first book and the sequel and at first was a little saddened by this, but it actually worked so well for the plot. I really enjoyed how far the main characters had come in five years and learning what they had been doing.

Even better than the first book!

I could not put this book after the first 100 pages. It was thrilling, funny, fantastical and had some really emotional moments. I loved it. So much so, that as soon as I finished it I immediately started the second book.

This book has everything, politics, adventure, history, magic, humour, emotion and a kick ass female main character in Nahri. I think it has something for everyone.

This is an emotional collection to read and some of the stories will possibly even make you cry, but it is a beautiful collection of stories and I would highly recommend it. I will definitely be passing it on to some friends/family to read.

This is a beautiful, powerful and hopeful book and I honestly can not praise the author more. Not only for writing such a sweet book, which really is a tribute to his dogs, but also because of all the work he has done to help so many dogs that need it.

It's a short, fast paced book, which can easily be devoured in one sitting. This is a book I will continue to recommend to others and I can see me going back and reading it again and again.

There were definitely poems in this collection that really spoke to me and I'm sure would speak to many others. However, there were also poems I did not understand at all.

Overall I enjoyed this collection, but I don't think it is one that I would go back and read again and again or quote from that often. I definitely think it's worth other people reading, especially readers with more of a poem reading brain than what I have.

This book is a memoir from the front man of Black Veil Brides. It covers his childhood and growing up (with his dream of wanting to be a rockstar) to current day.

If you're a fan of Black Veil Brides and Andy Black and would like to know more of their back story or enjoy the memoirs of musicians then this is definitely a must read.

It's a really interesting and fast paced book that will also encourage you to pursue your dreams.

There are a few poetry writers out there that I love and find really accessible, Melanie Haagman is one.

I really enjoyed this collection. I feel that most people will find more than one poem they can relate to. The poems are easy to understand and I appreciated that they were sectioned into themes. As a collection it flowed really well.

This is a poetry collection that anyone can pick up and find something to love. I would highly recommend.

Overall an excellent book, that I feel deserves more attention and to be talked about a lot more. This book is not necessarily an easy read and there are plenty of up and downs and difficult issues discussed throughout, but I think the author handled this extremely well and still manages to keep the book hopeful and uplifting. The character development of all the characters in this book was a particular highlight for me.

What a refreshingly honest book. This is probably one of the best memoirs I have ever read. No punches were held. The writing is fantastic and considering a lot of the shocking content that is revealed the book remains witty and hopeful for the future.

It's an emotional read, but I would highly recommend this book.
