If you like fairy tales you will love this book. I did! There are a few fey people, a little magic, some mystery and a powerful bad guy all in a wonderful fairy tale setting with a mysterious forest and, of course, a magical pond. Best of all, there are two sequels already out!

I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the Madman‘s Daughter trilogy. Unlike the 1st, I did have moments of “Come on! Really?” when things got a little far fetched but I still really enjoyed the book. I‘ve had enough for now though of this series so I‘m reading something else next but I will read the third book soon. 4/5 ⭐️

I really like this book! I‘m glad I checked out all 3 from the library. This is one of those books you get lost in and when something pulls you out you‘re looking around like “Oh! This is me, my life, etc. I‘m not actually on an island full of weird creatures!” It‘s creepy and dark but not to that point where you begin rolling your eyes and thinking it‘s gone too far and gotten ridiculous. It‘s also not too gross. 4.9/5 ⭐️.
