I may need a few days before I recuperate from this stunning novel. The diverse cast of characters were real and engaging. I found myself wanting to fight for and with every single one them. Amy Reed's novel is empowering for all women! Which is what I loved so much about The Nowhere Girls. Every type of woman is wonderfully represented. It's rare to find a book with such diversity, where everyone's opinions and life choices are respected.

Never before have I met a YA suspense thriller that lived up to my expectations and left me guessing at every turn. Richards weaves an unpredictable story, filled with anxiety inducing twists. Though momentum takes awhile to build, I found my heart racing every time I turned the page. One Was Lost reads like a horror movie! (This ARC was provided to me thanks to sourcebooks.)

Such a fun, quick paced read! While the lives of a hero, villain, and liar intertwine you realize nothing is at it seems. There's a magical element, but this fairytale is very real. I felt I knew these characters, as if they were people who I went to school with. Definitely give this book a read!

This will be an unpopular opinion but I was not thrilled with this book. It was a sweet romance and it had it's moments. However, it reminded me of a less fun version of the Jake Gyllenhaal movie Bubble Boy, including the predictable twist at the end. I wanted so much more from this book.

A must read! Discovering yourself is hard, especially when everyone has expectations of who you should be. Quick's depiction of this struggle is thought provoking and realistic. All teens should be required to read this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This needs to be on everyone's summer reading list! It's a funny, yet smart read. Scarlett Epstein is for anyone who has ever felt unsure of how they fit in this world. It also urges readers to be true to themselves, while embracing others for who they choose to be 💕

While there should be precautions when using social media, I believe message boards gave me freedom when I was in high school. Riddled with anxiety about being different, I felt very safe connecting with others in my fandoms. It was the one place I could be myself.

Had such high hopes for this book. I'd imagined a YA Under the Tuscan Sun, but it fell short. It's a nice, fluffy romance for the summer though. I enjoyed her mother's story and would have preferred a whole book on her romance instead.

Love my local library! Their YA selection has grown so much since I was little. It's a great place for a reader on a budget! Does anyone else use their local library? #loveyourlibrary

CaitlinSiem The YA section of my childhood library used to be so poor. I am so happy that the YA sections have slowly improved at libraries. The bigger array of reading material means higher chance of creating teen readers 😃 8y
BellaBookNook I love my local library and the YA section is fantastic! BTW I love your tag line. I am a tea and book lover also! 8y
TeaStories @BellaBookNook Thank you 😊 Tea and books are the little things that make me happy, so that tag line seemed like a good choice. 8y

Could not put this book down! Really loved the complexity of Minnow. As naive as she was, Minnow fought for knowledge. She wasn't satisfied to live by the Prophet's words. Oakes does a great job blending a coming age story into her mystery.

Slow start but definitely worth the read! Loved how it wove the modern world with the faerie world.

Such a fun, humorous read on the culture of fangirling! Though it is a satirical view, Kill the Boy Band will make fangirls feel understood. We know who we are and how crazy we can be, but we're often just having fun. If you love fanfics, you'll love this.

This paragraph sums up the fangirl experience perfectly! Some of us choose books, while others choose boy bands. They provide an "escape from the suckiness of everyday life."

If you're fond of 50 Shades of Grey, the Crossfire series should be your next read. They are quick to read and filled with drama! Very similar to a soap opera, you'll find yourself rolling your eyes at certain story elements but wondering why you can't stop reading.

youngish-adult I read all of them back to back lol I was HOOKED 9y
TeaStories @youngish-adult It's funny because I'm not a big romance novel kinda girl, but I get sucked into these twisted ones! 9y

Just a few of my favorite books and a latte from my favorite coffee place!

authorjleduc Every Day is great. 9y
TeaStories @authorjleduc there is a sequel to it, but I'm worried it won't be as good as the first! 9y
authorjleduc I read it. It wasn't really. I found Rhiannon a little irritating. It's not really a sequel. It's Every Day in Rhiannon's perspective. 9y

There is no denying Illuminae is a different book. It reads as one large computer file on war and sickness. While at times it can be a confusing read, Illuminae leaves you with a lot to think about. Especially in the areas of developing technology and artificial intelligences.💻💽
