I so wanted to like this book because of is interesting concepts and plot structure. However, I had so much trouble with aspects of the writing, the ironically one dimensional characters, and the pacing of this book, that I had to force myself to finish it if only to move on to something else.

Cityofamber I was so excited when I found this because it sound so good. I DNFed it. :( 7y

Such an amazing book. Libba Bray is a master of writing. I would recommend this book (well, series) to anyone and everyone.

It‘s been a while since I read the first book in the series, but finally getting myself to read The Copper Gauntlet reminded me just how good it is. It also reminded me how much I love Cassandra Clare‘s writing, Holly Black‘s writing, and how amazing the pair are when they work together.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer | Leigh Bardugo

Pickpick

I was skeptical of this book at first, as it appeared be nothing more than to novelization of one of the most popular movies of the year. My interest was piqued when I Saw that the book was written by Leigh Bardugo. This book is not a retelling of the Wonder Woman movie, but in fact it‘s own story and take on the Wonder Woman mythology. It is a fantastic book that I would recommend to anyone in love with strong female characters and good writing.

A fun book of short stories about the loves of geek women who are the writers, artists, and content creators of everything that geeks love. It was a fun collection of stories, that helped to get me out of the reading slump I've been stuck in.

Heartless | Marissa Meyer

I have loved everyone of Marissa Meyer's book so far, and this is no exception. Her ability to transform stories that we know so well into something new and wonderful is extraordinary. I loved her story of how the The queen of hearts became so. Though I doubt this book will become a series, I will hold out some hope that Marissa Meyer will add more to her Wonderland collection.

Funny, inspiring, and emotional. I've been waiting a while to read this book, and I needed it now. Amy Poehler is a genius, not just in comedy, but in real life as well.

Absolutely fantastic. Smart and funny. I'm really loving Riordan's multicultural representation and LGBTQ+ representation in his books. This book is another@part of an awesome collection.

It took me a while to get into this book, especially for it being the last of a series, but once I got into it I couldn't put it down. So happy to be finished with The Hungry City Chronicles.

A fun look at spin on the "teens in rehab" books that I've been seeing lately. Honestly, this one seemed like a place I wouldn't mind spending a few weeks, despite having little to no interest in video games.

An interesting story set in post-apocalyptic pre-Revolutionary France. A fascinating idea with vibrant characters and intriguing concepts. A great idea, but laid out in a rather improper way.

A fun vampire story with a different take on the mythos. It had an it of a wandering plot line, but it was still funny and enjoyable.

With Robin McKinley, sometimes I love her books, sometimes I don't. The world and relationship she created are phenomenal, but the sudden cliffhanger ending was a little upsetting worth no sequel in sight.

BookWarriorPrincess93 I read this book a couple of years ago. I also enjoyed it. 8y

I picked up this book because I wanted to read something different, and boy did I get it. With 1157 pages, this book was quite a presence in my life for the last month and a half. A bit of romance, a bit of fantasy, a bit of dystopia, and a whole lot of inspiring quotes.
