#riotgrams Sequel Please!
I know the heartbreaking reasons for the almost decade long gap, and McKinley doesn‘t consider it a sequel, but yeah. I need Ebon. I need to know how this ends.
I mixed up the order of the prompts 😅
@The.Book.Drunkard your subscription service is wonderful and downright dangerous!!!
So... I knew this was a cliff-hanger when I started. It definitely is one (and not a happy one (but there is some hope.)) I‘m sad that there‘s no signs of a sequel 8 years later because I want to know what happens. Besides that, I love the world and the characters and the friendships that are built. I also like the conflict and struggles of the characters.
tl;dr: Awesome world building. Ended on a cliff-hanger.
Oh, how I wish there was a sequel! A little slow to get going, but once it does it draws you in and you're brought along on an amazing exploration of culture, language, the creation of history, and the strength of friendship.
Came back from getting a glass of water - looks like Kepler wants a bed time story. 😊
With Robin McKinley, sometimes I love her books, sometimes I don't. The world and relationship she created are phenomenal, but the sudden cliffhanger ending was a little upsetting worth no sequel in sight.
I generally love McKinley's writing and enjoyed this book too, but BE WARNED, first of an intended trilogy, big cliffhanger ending, and no sequel in sight yet after 6 years. Probably best to wait till they're all published; read one of her wonderful stand-alone books instead.
