Finished book 3 yesterday, starting book 4 today!
One of my reading goals this year is to finish a bunch of series that I have started and this was in the list.

It's weird, but this D&D fantasy had a definite Star Wars feel about it. As the heroes raced around Castle Trinity, they fell into a trap similar to the trash compactor on the Death Star, and Cadderly's final confrontation with Aballister was like the battle between Obi-Wan and Vader. Everything was tied up in this book, so I'm not sure why a fifth one is necessary. I guess I'll find out. 4 💥💥💥💥

"Aballister walked along Lakeview Street in Carradoon, the wizard's black cloak wrapped tight against his skin and bones body to ward off the wintry blows whipping in from Impresk Lake."

The fourth tale of Cadderly finishes an excellent story with a suitably exciting conclusion. It's not as emotionally fulfilling as Night Masks, but it concluded the war.
Except there is a fifth book. I don't know what can be done next...
