This book is so, so good—the kind you start recommending before you‘re even done. It is about the past, and the present, and the future; death and life; fleeing and fighting; love and hate and fear; the worst and best of human nature. It is a compulsively readable novel, short and beautiful, like a long exhale after holding your breath too long; a lesson in the never-ending cycle of our broken, painful, dehumanizing history. I REALLY recommend it.

LOVING this book so far. It‘s a genre-bending mystery experiment that still feels cozy, classic, and genuine. The tone is just so delightful. Impossible to describe, but so easy to get lost in for hours. Excellent heroine.

Definitely a must-read PRIOR to Oathbringer (Stormlight Archive 3). I almost accidentally messed that up; I‘m glad I stopped myself in time! Critical info is revealed. The character development as well as display of this city is great, which you‘d also otherwise miss.

On a New Mexico road trip! Of course, amidst all the incredible art and beautiful landscapes, I‘ve already found 4 bookstores. The owner of Brodsky Bookshop in Taos regaled me with a special tale of Tommy Orange who used to live here and go in all the time!

Obsessed with this series right now. You know it‘s good when book 2 is better than book 1. And about 400 pages longer. Delicious, absorbing, satisfying - I simply cannot stop reading. Seriously hitting that exact right fun summer reading spot, while simultaneously being deeply rich and thoughtful when it comes to issues of equality, trauma, and abuse. I mean, seriously, Sarah J Maas might be fae herself.

And I wanted to see the life on other planets. There's more life in *this* world than I expected.
