The quick and extreme deterioration of humanity and order threw me incredible off guard in this novel. This infamous book, a precursor for The Hunger Games and some of Stephen King work, was packed full of symbolism and heart wrenching events. I usually don't enjoy these kinds of books, but after the second half begun, it's impossible to set down. This is definitely a classic!

Northanger Abbey | Jane Austen

Mehso-so

This satire of famous horror books published in Austen's times was the perfect mix of light hearted society with strange and odd twists in the plot. My option of it was less than of Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice. Even so, Austen's humor and good banter left nothing to be desired.

Pride and Prejudice | Jane Austen

A classic is a classic for good reason. Mr. Darcy is the prideful, heart warming gentlemen that many women have rightfully swooned over for decades. Elizabeth is the prejudice filled, opinionated, lady that girls have looked to for a role model as an independent woman. I adore this book with every atom of my being.

DebinHawaii Well said! I adore Pride & Prejudice! 💜💜💜💜💜 7y

This book placed so much inspiration and wisdom in the most simplest of ways. The journey of a Shepard to discover his treasure captures the hardships and confusion of discovering who one is. It's a short, but thought provoking, read.

A lovely classic about a long lost love, and the return to it. Jane Austen is always such a refreshing delight.

A Man Called Ove: A Novel | Fredrik Backman

Setting this book down, I am so thankful I picked this book up at my local book store. When I began this book, I found it quite boring. Typical old man, story of loss and the pain of life. It wasn't until close to the middle of this book that it came to life. It's a touching story of the purpose of life when your purpose has been taken. I highly recommend this book as a good summer read!

BookishMarginalia His latest, Beartown, is even better. 7y

The Little Prince is a great, age demographic defying little book. The book contains a different meaning every time it is reread, and opens new ideas for every first time reader. A literature masterpiece.

BookishMarginalia Welcome to Litsy! Hope you love it as much as we do! 7y
