This is my first time reading a Chevy Stevens book, and I'm a new fan. Dark Roads is fast paced and engrossing, with fascinating characters and unpredictable twists and turns. It's the story of a town in the northern Canadian wilderness which has been the site of several abductions and murders of young women, and two young women trying to do what the local police have failed to do for years: catch the killer. The book is great. Highly recommend.

The Other Me is nightmare material for this feminist. I loved it!

I‘m not sure how to describe this book without accidentally spoiling it, so I won‘t. This is a good one to go in blind. It‘s worth it. The story is a total trip. A bit of women‘s fiction mixed with science fiction and a whodunit mystery. Wonderfully creative and thought provoking, The Other Me is enjoyable from page one.

This one just wasn't as good as the others. Some of the dialogue as they're about to get it on is just so weird. The chemistry wasn't there for me. Still, the mystery was engaging and this book made me want to visit the Outer Banks and see the horses.

In retrospect, pledging to double the amount of reading I do in a year when I'm launching two books and doing a TON of final edits for the second one was maybe a wee bit ambitious.

I love Tana French so much. This book is the story of a Chicago police detective who retires to the Irish countryside for a taste of the quiet life. Instead, he's drawn into the murky depths of a local mystery and the disturbing secrets of his neighbors. This is not an action-packed whodunit, but rather a meandering mystery meant to be savored rather than devoured.

Wow! What a wild ride. I love reading #ColleenHoover because I trust her to provide a unique story with a great set of characters to fall in love with, no matter the genre she's writing in. This was Hoover's first foray into paranormal romance, and it did not disappoint. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Whoops, I did it again. I started a Colleen Hoover book when I have way too much to do. I know better. Her books are completely unputdownable! So far, this one is intriguing and different and I love it.

This one will catch you by surprise. I loved it, every twist and turn.

In short, I loved this book. I'm not usually a horror reader. That said, the horror is intense and had me gasping at a few surprises. The deeper cultural meaning behind the story did not disappoint either. Stephen Graham Jones delivers evocative social commentary with a lot of gore, and I loved every word of it.

I'm looking forward to another year of reading tons o' books, and this time I'll keep better track of everything I've read. Aiming for 100+ books in 2021! Happy New Years, y'all!

This book inspired me to think a lot about AI, so much so I wrote my own book about it! Whether you're deeply immersed in the world of technology or new to the subject and just a bit curious, I highly recommend this book. Reese's approach to the subject of AI and technology is optimistic, humorous, and very readable. The history of humanity's relationship with technology is absolutely fascinating, and helps put the current tech into perspective.

Unputdownable, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. New to the suburbs of DC, Allie is a little lost in the suburban social scene and overwhelmed by all the small daily dramas, then a murder happens. From mundane to outlandish, Allie's problems mount as she realizes someone is out to get her, someone close. But who? From page one, I was hooked. The author spins a great whodunit web, which had me guessing from start to finish.
