I loved this novel! I've seen some mixed reviews, but it had me on edge. I didn't want to put the book down, but motherhood & everyday life has to be tended to obviously. Lol.
This story reminded me of late night conversations, that I used to have with my best friends. The what-ifs & hypothetical scenarios. It gave me that sci-fi kind of vibe as well, which I totally get into from time to time.

I have a feeling this book is going to make me cry. Apparently, it's about two best friends that for some reason haven't spoke in a decade.. but are forced together.
Now who agrees that losing a friendship is harder than losing a crush? I think best friend breakups are sooo much worse than a boyfriend/girlfriend breaking up. It can completely shatter you and make you lose yourself. Even if it is what is best, it still hurts like hell.

I received this book from the BOTM club and I couldn't wait to read it! I just had sooo much on my plate already though. But I finally was able to and I loved it! It kept me on the edge of my seat and my fingers look awful from biting my nails! It reminded me of an SVU episode, which I love(d)! I definitely recommend this!

KellyK Planning to start this today... may not get much else done. 🙂 8y
crystalbrokke @KellyK it didn't have the best reviews, but I was pretty hooked! Hope you enjoy! Happy reading! 8y

This is a pretty good read. Easy and light; also there's supernaturals. My only thing is how have they not heard of terms such as witch, sorcerer, etc and they are 15 or older?

I am currently reading this book from my public library and I just love the way it fits in my hands and the way the pages smell and feel! Does anyone else ever get super excited about things like that? Like it's just so worn out and you can tell it's been a lot of places and so many others have read this one copy of this story.

I love that Cat Winters takes on real life historical issues and creates her own edgy, dark, supernatural stories to go along with them. I really enjoyed the other two books I've read of hers, this one was good.. just not as good.

This was a really good and very quick read! I needed something light to read and this Christmas novella was just the ticket! A modern day spin of A Christmas Carol.

This novel actually takes place in autumn of 1918, during a terrible, awful, crude world of war, flu, and a whole lot of death. Mary Shelley Black is a 16 year old girl, who has unique talents. Between running from the flu, awaiting her love at war, her dad getting locked up, spirit photography, and seances.. she's a pretty busy gal. Cat Winters, hasn't let me down yet again.

I picked this novel up from my local library and I really enjoyed it. I actually picked up two others by this author. They just had that creepy vibe to their covers that spiked my interest.

This was about a young suffragist woman, who's father has her dreams (voting, going to college, having a voice in a man's world) removed.

Eve | Anna Carey

This reminded me of a mix between Hunger Games, Divergent, & possibly even Romeo & Juliet. Eve is about to graduate at the top of her class, but the day before graduation.. She founds out what they really have planned for the graduates.

I actually bought this book at a yard sale, & I didn't even read the back of it or anything. I thought the cover looked interesting & I got a really good deal on a stack of books. Anyways, I wish I would have read this book in high school. I totally related to the character, Caitlin. It's about a girl going through the struggles & peer pressures of high school, trying to find herself, & also trying to find out where she's at with her religion.

I just finished this series and I'm just really hoping there's going to be another book! I know from the reviews a lot of people disliked the book series. But I quite enjoyed it. So despite the reviews, you should give it a try! Also I finished the series all within two weeks. Which is pretty awesome for me, considering it hasn't been that easy for me to find time to read since becoming a mommy. It's the little things! ❤️😍📖📚

I had been wanting to read this story for so long! I'm so glad, Jay Crownover started the Saints of Denver series and Zeb and Sayer's story could be heard. I just knew it would be an amazing read! I'm also glad I finally got around to reading/finishing it!

I have a really bad problem of starting books and not finishing them. I have one for every room in my house and I also read on my phone. Having a tiny baby leaves me so scatter brained.
But I'm really enjoying this novel and can't wait for the movie to come out!!! I love the adventures and the peculiars and that the author uses old creepy vintage photos to tie everything together. Also Kentucky sunsets are dreamy. ❤️📚☕️🌄

I just read this lovely book to my daughter after nap time. It was such a good read! It was about a girl named, Oddrey, whom had no problem standing out, even when she was made an outcast. But of course she ended up saving the day and helped others find their inner "odderies". ❤️

This was such a good read. So many highs and lows. I love when a story has you so engulfed in it, that you can really feel everything.
I really enjoy reading stories about addiction and mental disabilities. It gives me such an understanding about how people handle things differently.

TiffanyBolin I was shocked by the ending. It emotionally wrecked me. But the book is really good! 9y
crystalbrokke Me too! Like I knew it towards the middle what the outcome would be. But then I really thought that things were going to change.. And then nope. I was so upset. 😢😢😢 9y

I've been trying to read this classic for some time now. I start reading it, put it down, pick it back up again... So on and so on. I'm getting to the part where Darcy and Elizabeth seem to fancy one another. I've heard only good things about this novel, and I truly think I will enjoy it.

TiffanyBolin This is such an amazing read! 9y
crystalbrokke I'm definitely not used to the writing style, so it's extremely hard. But I'm really hoping I can get past that. I know this will help me grow as a reader and will hopefully open my mind up to read other classics! ❤️ 9y
