I'm Glad My Mom Died | Jennette McCurdy

This book was a really good, albeit intense one. It details much of Jennette‘s life as a child actress as well as her mother‘s abuse, and shows how these things have had profound effects on her far into adulthood. While I think it is a fantastic read, people should be aware that it describes in detail her eating disorders and abuse.

I read this book in one day! The story draws you in and makes you want to keep reading. It also does a wonderful job of showing how a person with OCD might struggle or think. Overall a good book with a great plot twist!

This book was highly informative and interesting. Although it is very informational and based on a lot of good research, it is still very easy to understand. Many of the stories of his clients are hard to listen to, but leave you in awe of the minds ability to heal. Highly recommend this book for anyone looking to learn more about trauma and it‘s affect on the brain.

A good read about talent vs effort. Definitely gets a little repetitive especially towards the end.

THE BEST! This book unravels the reasons behind a teenage girl‘s suicide… and just when you think you have it all figured out… there is more to be discovered and processed. The characters are very well developed and there is a hidden meaning beneath nearly every sentence. While very sad, the book is definitely worth the read and explores many complex and difficult themes.

This book took me several chapters to get into. But it was overall a good read! Definitely shows an interesting take on life and the process of dying… and who we influence as a result.

I really loved the take of this book on how traumatic experiences can be passed down through generations. I also loved that it walks you through how to identify and begin the healing process of such traumas. The book is super interesting and a helpful tool to look further into your behaviors, why you might act that way, and what influence your family history could have to do with it.

Dear John | Nicholas Sparks

Definitely not Spark‘s best writing but still a good book. I feel that the book accurately portrayed the difficulties that military couples may face when working with distance and deployments. But overall still a good and worthwhile fun read!

I knew I would enjoy this book because many people recommended it to me, however it really exceeded all expectations! It is a wonderfully complex story that pulls you in and really makes you feel for the main character, Kya. I highly recommend reading this if you haven‘t already!

Word_Dragon I enjoyed this book too. I really felt that Owens did a great job with the descriptions of the marsh. 2y
