The writing in this book is so immensely beautiful even though it was set during the most difficult time period in history — WWII. And how often do we get to read the voice of Death as the narrator? Though the pacing of the book is slow-burning, you don't feel any plot lines unnecessary or boring.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this book cover is?😍 I read it a couple of months ago and I love the whole idea of it being inspired by a Russian fairytale! Though it's a little slow paced, and I almost put it down, the ending did give it justice! I can't wait for the sequel in Jan next year (seems like a long long time😭)

I surprised myself yesterday by picking up a genre that I don't usually reach out for. I'm halfway through Nothing to Envy and I gained some much insights and for the first time, I wished that it's all fiction😕

What else can I say... Leigh Bardugo is officially my favourite author and I can't wait to read more of her books! I love the world, the diversity, the characters who you can help but love, and the amazing plot! Hehe don't you agree that this cover is beautiful as well?🙊
