Mehso-so

I was left with a horribly unshakeable feeling once I finished. The first person account of Rachel's life slipping and spinning wildly out of her control covered me in a sense of despair I think. As a thriller, it did its job; I didn't have a clue where the ending was going until seconds before I got there. But overall, I can't say I enjoyed Hawkins' novel - overwhelmingly affecting all the same though.

I never really look in the local section it Waterstones but after finding this there I am going to look more often. To me, this deserves to be displayed at eye level in every corner of the shop instead of shuffled into the bottom corner to be found by accident. I can't quite find the words to describe how much I enjoyed this. A fast read. A thrilling read. A damn fine read all together.

Hooked. Entirely gripped from the second I started I needed to know what's really happening and I needed to know quickly. It's a book I wish I could read again for the first time.

Studying this book was so interesting to me mainly because of the difference in the versions published. Variety in a single story is just wonderful to me.

The Book Thief | Markus Zusak

I've seen so many young men over the years who think they're running at other young men. They are not. They are running at me.
