A vacation in Madison, CT, is incomplete without a stop at R.J. Julia Booksellers! By far one of the best bookstores I've had the pleasure of visiting. A fantastic selection, two whole floors of books, an amazing cafe, and plenty of helpful shelf talkers. A haven for book lovers. #getindie

Feeling really conflicted about this book. I thought I would love that it's so genre-defying but instead it just feels like an identity crisis. But I'm not even 100 pages in so we'll see how it goes.

Finished this the other night when Litsy was down. I LOVE this series! It's so much fun and terrifically written. Had some misgivings about the final turn of events, but I still had a grand old time reading this and can't wait to get my hands on Ghostly Echoes.

A bit of background: I'm a big Anderson Cooper fan. His work inspired me to major in journalism and I loved his memoir, Dispatches from the Edge. So naturally, I was thrilled when I found out he was writing a book with his mother! The focus is largely on Gloria's past, which is simultaneously fascinating and heartbreaking. A quick, poignant read for anyone with the slightest interest in either of these two.

Just realized I never blurbed American Gods after finishing it! This book was so many things. Fantasy, mythology, mystery, Americana... But above all, it was totally fantastic. The last 100 pages had me up well past my bedtime. Can't wait for the TV adaptation!

I can NEVER resist a blind date with a book. I wouldn't have picked this book up for myself, but it sounds great (and the cashier told me she loved it), so I'm kinda excited!
