What a delightful story from start to finish. Sure I find the characterisation of Asriel to be questionable, flip flopping on occasion, but the cast as a whole is absolutely wonderful. Really deep and rich in its storytelling, its easy to lose hours to this phenom of a book.

Brilliant read although profoundly odd.

There is some wonderful stuff in here that really cuts through to the easence of human existence, but there is also a pretention around some of the later pages that made it a bit of a battle to keep reading after he loses his vices and debauchery. Maybe that says a lot about me...

Fantastically woven short stories into the main narrative. Basically chaucer with a hawking drive in space man. Its wonderful. Will pick up fall of hyperion after a break.

First delve into the world of cyberpunk and what a ride! The characters are perhaps never quite developed much beyond the scope of their immediate surroundings but they work in unison for a plot which sweeps you through networks and worlds seamlessly. Full of tricks and mystery, id highly recommend this book to anyone.
