I loved the illustrations of this book. Some of the pages expanded with have an extra flap to further the image that was displayed. This made the book more interactive.
I enjoyed this book about Carl Sagan. He did a lot of work with the astronauts from the Apollo mission, and other work with space crafts. I think this is a great book for children to read.
I liked that this book was a sports themed because not many children's books are. Even though it is basketball themed, the message of the book could be applied to any sport or activity.
I really enjoyed this book! It tells the story of a young African-American boy and his journey to find confidence in himself. This book would be great for any child to read.

This book was so interesting to me! It was Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have A Dream“ speech written into a children's book. This was a different way to read about this iconic speech, and I enjoyed it.

This story was inspiring. Maya Lin started out doing pottery, and then worked her way up to creating a monumental memorial. The illustrations are so detailed and aesthetically pleasing to look at.
This book was so interesting! I enjoyed reading about the Vietnamese Veterans Memorial, and the person who created it. I never really knew about this memorial, soI definitely learned something new when reading this book.

I really liked how the illustrations were set up in this book. They are so unique and not like any others I've seen before. They are detailed, but simple at the same time. I also liked how there was poetry throughout the book as well.
I enjoyed this story about William Carlos Willams, and how he became a poet. This book really does a good job to telling the story of WCW's whole life and his writing. I will definitely include this in my classroom library.

I liked how the text of this book was in a western style. The illustrations are also very simple and not too overwhelming. I think children would really enjoy this book and its style.
I liked this story based on the life of Bass Reeves. He was a Deputy US Marshal in the Old West. I have never really been into the Old West stories, but I enjoyed this one.

This book was more of a chapter books, so there weren't as many illustrations. However, I liked how the author decided to include newspaper articles, maps, and original images of Amelia. This gives children an extra sense that this is a true story.
I enjoyed this story about Amelia Earhart! She is such an inspiring person, and made such an impact in society so many years ago. I would definitely read this to my class when talking about the history at this time.

I loved this book about Mark Twain! Mark Twain is such a popular, classic author. This book made it more interesting to learn about him. I would definitely include this book in my classroom, along with some of Mark Twain books.

I liked how the author included the Cherokee writing system with the text of the story. This gives children a way to connect the book with the history of the story. The children won't necessarily know what the symbols mean, but it is a way for them to compare English to another way of writing.
I liked this book! It is about the story of Sequoyah, the man who invented a writing system for the Cherokee Indians. The writing system was made up of codes and symbols. This book would be great for when the topic of Indians comes up in social studies lessons.

I liked the illustrations of this book. They are very simple with their bright green colors. I also liked how the author used onomatopoeia. This gives children a new concept to learn while reading this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book about 9/11. This topic is very interesting to me because I was alive, but just a baby so I do not remember it. This book gives so much detail about what was happening in the world on that day. I would definitely read this to my class when this topic comes up.

I loved the illustrations and the cover of this book. They are very eye appealing to look at and do not have harsh lines or colors. Children would really love these illustrations.
I enjoyed this book about a sailor and his life on his boat. It's illustrations are very detailed, while having short phrases on the pages to describe what he is doing. I believe that children would enjoy reading this book.

The graphs, tables, and pictures helped me relate the animals to each other. They also helped me understand actual facts about the animals as well.
I enjoyed this book. It has a lot of pictures and diagrams to help the reader compare the animal to others. It also gives the reader something to follow along with the numbers that it includes with the pictures.
The illustrations of this book are very detailed about beetles throughout their life cycle. They even show the actual cycle of how a beetle forms and grows to be full sized.
I liked this book! It explains the life cycle of a beetle very well, and makes the reader want to find out more about it. While I am not the biggest fan of insects, I was interested in reading more about this topic.
