I loved: ☆ the fierceness of the narrative. It starts by showing off its fangs and I was all in. Very last lines of the first "section" ("Revenge." ..."Good girl...." ?) pulled me straight in.
Was okay: ☆ the whole retelling aspect. It was fun lining up the Macbeth parallels, but it was Jade's intense voice (??♀️"I don't fucking cry."?) that kept me engaged not the plot.
Was bad:▪the marketing. A "feminist macbeth"? Feminist how exactly?
