i like her essays more than her novels, but the generational gap including the 60s movement on this collection has me with a big so-so feeling.

just started this, had kinda avoided it for years but think im ready.. this book is heavy. trigger warning: if u recently lost a loved one. mostly about grief.
so far so odd.. will likely bail im a few pages if it turns out no different than its new yorker article a bit ago :/

classic. in this audio book version hearing toni's author note at the end is just beautiful and so timeless, powerful, angering, current. listened to that track a few times.
[now reading] a lot of power and corruption stuff to chew on, though written in the mid-90s this is a good intro into the deeper complex root of politics in lat/am by a woman reporter i like that pov is a fresh and intuitive

such a great read, love all his movie and baseball references. mass, such a cool dude! so glad he wrote and he has confirmed that, yes, this is indeed a planet. 🌎💕
