This was a wonderful read. I love Wodehouse anyway, but this book is a bit special. It is set in the Hollywood of the 1930's and it is a Wodehouse take on the body swap trope. It is interesting and clever and very, very funny.

charl08 Love that orange penguin cover. 8y

Or How two Manhattanites became Gentlemen Farmers. This book is less about farming and more about that dream of changing your life and how difficult it is, particularly when still have to work at your day job while doing it. It is an honest and engaging memoir. Well written and a good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romp through the golf course. It is Wodehouse doing what he does best, creating loveable characters and clever plots and writing stories which though improbable are highly engaging. The writing is of course, delightful. Sunlit perfection, Stephen Fry called this. I agree.

This is a book about books and what it means to be a reader. It is a novella and the story it tells is about Elizabeth, Queen of England who takes up reading well into her old age and slowly discovers the sheer pleasure of reading a good book. The story is clever and funny and very well written

This is the story of a young man who sets out on a journey to find a fallen star. There are magical folk, good and bad that he meets and has to deal with on the way. It is an adventure that gets going from page one. The characters are wonderful, the plot is clever and the writing is gorgeous.

This is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. It starts slow and it is over 600 pages long, so it takes a bit of reading, but it is entirely worth it. It has wonderful characters, lovingly written and a story that will stay with you for a long time. The writing is sublime. Read it.

This is a wonderful play. It is very well written and it raises important questions about education and what it's for. Is education supposed to give kids a love for learning or is it just about getting a degree? The play is full of clever dialogue and characters who are loveable despite their flaws.
