This is when I really wish there was something between Pick & So-so. I liked the elements of this and will always love Lisa Jewell's plotting & pacing, but something about it fell flat for me. This isn't a "whodunnit" like WATCHING YOU, it's more of a "why-dunnit" like THEN SHE WAS GONE, but not as compelling. I was waiting for a bigger, darker twist and felt like I didn't get the payoff she was building up. 4/5 ⭐
Honestly, why would you do laundry or clean the living room when you could read a good book with some coffee instead? 📖☕
